*Dress code is a very important part of being able to provide the best dance education. Students MUST be in approved dress code in order to participate in each class.
Ballet:
Twinkle Babies & Twinkle Stars: Pink leotards, Pink tights, pink ballet slippers, black tap shoes. Students may also add tutus & ballet skirts or sweaters if desired. (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings or tights, white fitted t-shirt or tank top, black ballet slippers, and black tap shoes)
Basic Ballet 1, Basic Ballet 2, Basic Ballet 3: Light Blue leotards, pink tights, pink slippers, hair in a neat bun. Students may add ballet sweaters, skirts and/or leg warmers for part of class, but be prepared to remove. (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings or tights, white fitted t-shirt or tank top, black ballet slippers)
Conservatory Ballet I: White leotards, pink tights, pink slippers, hair in a neat bun. Students may add ballet sweaters, skirts and/or leg warmers for part of class, but be prepared to remove. (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings, white fitted t-shirt or tank top, black ballet slippers)
Conservatory Ballet II: Royal Blue leotards, pink tights, pink slippers pink slippers (and pointe shoes), hair in a neat bun. Students may add ballet sweaters, skirts and/or leg warmers for part of class, but be prepared to remove. (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings, white fitted t-shirt or tank top, black ballet slippers)
Pre Pointe: Students will start the year WITHOUT pointe shoes working on getting their feet ready (bring ballet slippers to class). In January we will have a "pointe shoe party" booking an appointment with a store and our teacher to properly fit each student who is ready to go en pointe second semester. It's our goal to get everyone in pointe shoes in this class, but we will not sacrifice safety or health if our teachers feel strongly someone is not ready, yet.
Conservatory Ballet III: Purple or Light Purple (not plum) leotards, pink tights, pink slippers (and pointe shoes), hair in a neat bun. Students may add ballet sweaters, skirts and/or leg warmers for part of class, but be prepared to remove. (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings, white fitted t-shirt or tank top, black ballet slippers)
Conservatory Ballet/Pointe IV/V: Black leotards, pink tights, pink slippers (and pointe shoes), hair in a neat bun. Second semester students will also need black character shoes for Character Variations class. Students may add ballet sweaters, skirts and/or leg warmers for part of class, but be prepared to remove. (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings, white fitted t-shirt or tank top, black ballet slippers)
Advanced Beginner & Intermediate Ballet (Recreational): Royale Blue leotards, pink tights, pink slippers, hair in a neat bun. Students may add ballet sweaters, skirts and/or leg warmers for part of class, but be prepared to remove. (*Boys: black jazz pants/leggings, white fitted t-shirt or tank top, black ballet slippers)
Jazz, Theatre Dance/Broadway Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Acro:
Suggested dancewear: Leotards, dance shorts, leggings, sports bras, tank tops, fitted crop tops, etc…are acceptable. Tights are (optional but must be “convertible”). No baggie shorts.
SHOE REQUIREMENTS: Black tap shoes (tap), tan jazz slippers(jazz & theatre dance), half soles, socks, or bare feet (contemporary), bare feet (acro). *Please note Acro students MUST have their hair up (ponytail or bun) and no baggy shirts in order to participate in class for safety reasons.
*Teen girls focusing on musical theatre may want to also purchase black “character” heeled tap shoes (in addition to flat tap shoes).
Hip-Hop:
Either street-wear that you can move/stretch/bend VERY comfortably in or dance wear. Suggestions: Dance shorts, dance pants, sweat pants, joggers, sports bras, tank tops, crop tops, etc… Shoes should be sneakers/tennis shoes or shoes approved by your teacher.
